We have exchange 2007 and several connectors on the hub transport servers. I put my XP machine’s ipaddress in for a system to be able to relay, basically for testing the SMTP port. Still says “could not open connection to the host on port 25, connect failed.”

For some reason I cannot do message tracking past 24 hours in Exchange 2007 SP1. The HUB Transport servers are configured to keep thirty days of logs. Can someone help me with this issue?

Exchange 2007 content filtering quarantine settings

I have a exchange 2007 hub transport server and i have noticed when using the content fltering quarantine option there is no notificatio to the sender or recipient that their message has been quarantined. Is there a work around to this to let them know.

Heres my problem,
To limit the problem w/ spam i have the Delivery Restriction “receive from authenticated users only” option selected on the “staff” distribution list. However i have remote users who have there own mail server who i would like to be able to send emails to that distribution list.
So i want to allow a range of ip’s to be able to send emails to that distribution list, if thats the way to go… Im using exchange 2007, hub transport, on a local site.

Edge Transport Subscription

We have an Exchange 2000 “edge” server and an Exchange 2007 Hub Transport server. We are migrating to an Exchang 2007 Edge Transport to replace the Exchange 2000 “edge” server. For testing purposes, if we add a “test” Edge Transport subscription to our production Hub Transport, will that disrupt our production email flow. (We intend on actually testing using a couple of public domains we no longer use in production.)
