Removing old E-mail addresses

I have a previously used BB that is receiving messages to an old e-mail address. How can I remove or block those e-mails to the old address?

I deleted a user from Active Directory and then downloaded a new copy of the global address list (GAL) in Microsoft Outlook. However, the user's name still shows up in the Outlook GAL. Why is that? How can I delete him from the GAL?
