Do i really need to get certification for Storage Area Network in EMC if i wanted to be storage professional?

Lost SAN Connection after MS Security Patches updated
EMC DMX800, DMX1000 were visible to a Windows 2003 Server (R2, SP2) with Emulex HBA. After some Security Patches updated it has lost SAN Connectivity. HBAnywhere sees FA ports of Arrays. However, HBA of the host is not logging into the Array.
