How to block users from the email client

how i can block some one from sent me emails?

I have a blackberry curve, and the email setting for how long emails stay on the phone is 30 days. Is there anyway at all to retrieve emails from longer than 30 days ago? It is extremely important. If I have to take the phone to a store or expert, I will. Please help!!!
