Email Validation Software

We do a lot of bulk email blasts to our Students, in which we get a high percentage of bounced emails. We are looking into purchasing an Email Validation package and was wondering if anyone can recommend a decent package that would either run on the i5 (AS/400) or that can interface (via ODBC, Java, etc.) rather easily. Your responses are appreciated.

Exchange Server Messaging Solution

My requirement I need to log (Including mail content) the mail communications between certain group of users in the same Exchange server.
Logging should be done in the central repository like SQL Server so that my application can be used to view the mail communications between the groups.
Pls let me know is there a possiblity of having any plug in to the
exchange server which does this business logic by montoring the mail box of the Users or SMTP server etc.
Also I want to know is there any other alternative or products already available.

convert public folder IPM.POST to IPM.NOTE

i have an sbs 2003 with exchange runing on it and gut a public folder that i’ve created for general mail to the employee’s. i’ve routed all mail to that folder from specific account, the problem is that the mail’s arrived as a IPM.POST format mails and not like the traditional mails that is more common (IPM.NOTE). so,, i try this microsoft link: http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?scid=kb%3ben-us%3b817809
but it not been so helpful to me.
does anyone know how can i solve this problem?

Problems sending specific attachments

I am the exchange administrator for my organization.

We have 3 exchange clusters (exchange 2000 SP4), a front end server, and use an SMTP connector to send outbound mail. We use a third-party vendor as a smart host for all our outbound email.

My problem is this:

I am getting complaints that specific emails are routinely not getting sent, and users are getting delay notifications, and then NDR’s.

It appears to be limited to emails with .tif attachments. The complaint is coming from my finance department, so this is high profile and very urgent.

We are in communication with the third party vendor, but so far they are telling us the issue is on our end. Now they have told us that before about issues with inbound email that they also handle for us, and we have proven them wrong at least three different times now, so I am not ruling out that the issue could still be with them.

Has anyone had an issue like this and found a solution? I would greatly appreciate some suggestions, thanks!

terminal server and gpo

i have a server 2003 that configure as a terminal server, and i want implement a strict acess to this server from client (xp pro) to that server, i create ou that called “for terminal users” and create for that ou a gpo, now,, i want to know how should i change the gpo to achive the next goals: 1. all user that connect to the terminal will get a same desktop and same icons. but i want that when the same user’s connect to them xp they get a cusomize icon and desktop as they wish
2 how i redirect my document’s of users to server?
3 can i apply a gpo to some user in the “for terminal users” ou and in the same time apply other gpo to that users’ ? there is no conflict?
4 how i configure outlook for users that when they connect to the terminal the outlook will open up like they in the desktop ?

Using Secure Shell (ssh)

I have to submit a remote command from the AS/400 to run on a UNIX system. I am told by security admin. that I can only use Secure Shell(ssh). Both the AS/400 and the UNIX server are within the firewall. I do not know where to start. Does OS/400 V5R3 have this capability? Do I need additional software and if so what do you recommend? Please help.

Hi, as a teenager money has only recently become something that I’ve found essential. I have been involved in the opensource comunity developing software for 2 years. I woundering if there is a career for me in freelance programming through sites like elance.com and sriptlance.com. I know I would have to compete with outsouced workers, but even a couple thousand dollars would last a year for me. So what I want to know is: if I had all the skills and time needed could I make an equal amount of money freelancing as I would working at McDonalds part time?
