I’m exporting a simple table to Excel but my problem is that the table columns will change every month since the column names will list month names (ex. May2009). Can I use ActiveX to dynamically create the transformation source? Please help!

Hi,

I was wondering if the DTS import/export also recreate the table, the reason I am asking this I want to recreate a database using the Generate SQL Script but change the collation of the columns of the table, then import the data from that database to this new database. If it does recreate the table, should I be using BCP Bulk insert instead?

Converting data to SQL Server data with the DTS wizard

I need to convert my Sybase data to SQL Server data. I tried using several methods for a single table that contains 1357 records.

When I used the DTS wizard, the tranfer completed sucessfully but the data in the column with data type “money” was not correctly transferred. For an example, the value 9700.00 was transferred as 97.00. I found that the leading zero of decimal points was supressed. Is there any solution to proceed?

Creating DTS package for Linked Server database
