Is there a way to check whether my drivers are updated? I mean, without having to check on the manufacturer’s website each time? I already tried various means to improve my computer’s performance like scanning for malware, disk clean up & defragmenting but still I’m not satisfied. I wanna make sure that my drivers are up-to-date.

AFP printer-driver for Linux (where to get?)

I just moved from WinNT to linux on my ThinkPad. I am now in lack of an APF printerdriver.
(I need this driver to help me create printoverlays for my IBM Power System i). With WinNT I used the IBM AFP 300 driver.

pls hint me where to find such driver.

Minidump Analysis

Hi all,

I’ve come across a minidump file that’s pretty cryptic, so I’m having a tough time with it. Lately, I’ve been getting some bsod, and unfortunately the minidumps are pointing more to driver faults within the stack (which makes it difficult to find, for me anyway). If someone wouldn’t mind having a look, I’d appreciate it!

This is a tough bug to find because the easiest case, a driver actually attempted to complete its own packet twice, is generally not what happened. Rather, two separate drivers each believe that they own the packet, and each attempts to complete it. The first actually works, and the second fails. Tracking down which drivers in the system actually did this is difficult, generally because the trails of the first driver have been covered by the second. However, the driver stack for the current request can be found by examining the DeviceObject fields in each of the stack locations.

Creating Auto Install INF file

I am trying to install a driver using an automatic inf, currently we have to add new hardward/device/serial/comport have disk then select the driver to create the new virtual device.

I would like to install it via a command line batch file ( or right click and install ):
