Host company website inhouse

Our company would like to host our website inhouse as opposed to paying a company for hosting. When attempting to change the domain's nameservers at the registrar it says that the nameservers do not exist. Am I running the "wrong" kind of nameservers to accomplish this task?

Exchange Server 2003 & Missing MX Record
