Computer Dell Inspiron 510m. Had to reinstall the OS (Windows XP Home) from the Dell CD.
NB! deleted the old partition during the install. Have found 2 other small primary partitions, but computer boots from the 2nd primary partition into XP. Reinstalled drivers, etc, from Dell CDs.
Finally attempted to reinstall Dell Media Experience from Dell CD. Installation bombed out with this error: Open physical memory failed. CLScan error. The program can only be installed on a genuine Dell computer. It is a bloody Dell laptop with genuine Dell drivers & other software.
Can anybody provide some advice as to how I can get past this bottleneck?
