Problem with adding a member server as a domain controller
I am adding a windows 2003 enterprise server to my existing domain. Active directory accepts the new server as a member but will not recognise it during dcpromo to domain controller.Possible dns errors causing this ?

After demoting a DC, the computer name still exist in AD Sites and Services!?
I run dcpromo to demote a DC to normal server. However, it still exists in AD sites and services, but there is no connection to it.Do I have to delete it from "AD Sites and Services" manually? Thanks.
