Hi, We have acquired a company which is currently operating a with single DC(server 2000) which is also running Exchange 2000 very slowly. We want to deploy a 2nd new server which will be running windows server 2003 to become the new pdc and take on AD, DNS, DHCP, etc but as the version of the exchange server is 2000 its needs to stay on the 2000 server. My question is can I promote the new 2003 server, transfer over the roles and GC functions and then demote the existing 2000 server to a member server without effecting any of the exchange functions?
