DB2 Web Query – Active Report Show Unreadbale Data

I have a report contains some information about customer name. When I save the output type as HTML ,the result is pretty good. The problem is, it is not good when save as Active Report AHTML.
In each columns contains customer name in Thai will display as garbage or alian. How do we control this ? My understand is, there is a java script handle it i array. Can we do some control on this ?

Does anyone know how to select fields in the DB2 Query for report purposes, and yet not have them appear in the sort by window pane.
Seem simple enough, but, when I have the field select tab highlighted, and double clik on any field, the field automatically appears in the sort by window pane. So, If I want to sort by member no, and, I have member no, member address in fields, both fields appear in the sort by window pane, when in essence, I want both fields to be on my report, but only need to sort by the member no field.

Can anyone help me out ?

Hello

I created metadata over a a “set” of files.

My next step is to define a primary over one of the files, and then foreign keys over the other files defined in my metadata relational database.

Unfortunately, when I attempt to define my primary key over the main file, I receive an SQL error message. I was able to determine that this is attributed to certain field names in the file beginning with special characters such as @, or $ which evidently SQL can not handle.
So, my question is, does anyone have a work around, or, do I need to rename all my fields in the relational database prior to creating the metadata ?

Field editing for DB2 WebQuery

How can I provide field editing for DB2 WebQuery?

For example:

phone number(length 10, decimals 0)
as (123)456-7890 and
Customer Id# (length 6, decimals 0)
as 1234-56 .

DB2 WebQuery doesn’t seem to pay attention to the edit words/edit codes of the PF DDS, so I am trying to do my own “editing”.

I want to create an SQL View of the file using Iseries Navigator. During creation of the SQL View, I want to substring parentheses and hyphens into 2 NEW SQL created alphameric Phone Number & Customer Id# fields.

Then I want tell DB2 WebQuery to use the SQL view file instead of the original Physical file.

PS. I am new to SQL and to DB2 WebQuery.

DB2 WebQuery: Metadata Error FOC1567

I’m new to DB2 Web Query. Just starting with the product.

In metadata, I’m trying to pull in a DB2 SQL derived Table. I keep getting an error FOC1567.

*LOCAL, , Table , library / filename

Error FOC1567 Create Synonym Data Source ‘StockKeepingUnit’ is not unique

The KEY on the StockKkeepingUnit Table is a SKUID and this SKUID is unique. There are INDEXES associated and some of them show in iSeries Navigator. Not sure if that is contributing to the complaint.

Not sure how to handle this error. Has me baffled.

I would like to be able to set up a dashboard on a particular managers desktop, and demonstrate the features of DB2 Web Query.
Does anyone know of a good web site that I could go to, that would show me how to do this ? Alternatively, are there any books on the market that someone would recommend ?

DB2 Web Query Login

I log into DB2 Web Query, do what I am going to do and end the session. Come back the next day and login again. I then ger the message “An active session for this user id already exists.” Why do I get this msg each time I start Web Query?

I have a report which contains all the information I require. The problem is, there are two totals (automatically produced after a break) that I would like to move down to another section of the report. Any way of doing this?
