Mac osx 10.5.9 can’t have more than 3 afp server shared on the dock.

I have about 5 mac osx 10.5.9 clients that are having trouble adding network shortcuts as stacks or folders to their dock. as soon as I drag the 4th icon to the dock the folder vanished into thin air…

AD User name Change locks Macs user out.

What causes a user with an AD account to not be able to log into a Mac running 10.5-10.7 if their user name is changed on the AD server? (happens due to marrage) This only happens when a user has a mobile account on the computer in question.

Why do Snow Leopard machines bound to Active Directory stop letting the user authenticate after about 24 hours?

the AD 2003 domain they seem to lock up after several days of up time. At some point the users can no longer log in, use a user name or password to allow a system change. When ad bindings are removed the problem is gone.
