Conditional processing for Connect Direct on UNIX

I want to send a parameter to my unix script which I use to decide if the file that was sent using Connect Direct is moved to backup. The only Condition is seems to use is if the previous step was successful.

Mrdenny, says that if a cluster resource is configured to failover then it will failover on an application program that fails, but does that make sense? if the application program failed processing a specific transaction on one server isn’t it going to fail processing the same transaction on another server?
