-UN-install all necessary Drivers at Add/Remove programs. (making sure its been removed including older drivers.)restart required -Download Driver Graphics from Intel site supporting win7 or if you have disc driver then that al do. for download; This may need your model no# of MoBo to suit making sure its the right one and its supported. If you are struggling to run an application on the hardware you have re-provisioning system resources will only be a short term fix. Looking at the spec you put up I would strongly recommend jumping onto the sandy bridge bandwagon. Then you won’t have this issue.

There should be software that came with your UPS, I know APC uses Network Shutdown agent for networked UPS’s, not sure what they use otherwise

Increase in Network I/O when running SQL Profiler
Even when connecting to the local instance, the connection goes through the virtual loopback network connection. SQL Profiler generates a lot of network traffic.

Shop around. From what I gather of your question you are looking for something like Citrix (although their are other alternatives). You would be going from 1 desktop server to a much larger environment to do this however. Possibly very large costs involved.
