[html xmlns="">
Hello all.
I have an unusual problem. Here is the situation.
We have a head office domain with file servers based here in New Zealand. We also have a remote server at our Melbourne, Australia office. We use file sync software to mirror different folders to the remote server so that the Melbourne office has local file access rather than coming across the wire to New Zealand.
One of the users has a laptop he uses from home. He connects back to our head office firewall via IPSEC VPN.
The problem is this: He can access mapped network drives if they map to the source server in New Zealand but mappings that point to his local "mirror" server in Melbourne do not work. I have tried it on different laptops, through different internet connections.
The remote server is a DNS/WINS server plus we have DNS/WINS servers here in New Zealand.
What could be causing him to not be able to connect to his local derver mappings?
Thanks
Tracy

Hello,

I am currently configuring Nagios to monitor most of our network devices. Obviously, there are some devices that I would like to monitor with more detail and more closely than others.

I have compiled a list of services that I would like checked for every server, no matter what type. I am looking for some input from the community on what services I should be monitoring that are specific to each server. More specifically, what services should I monitor on an Exchange Server as opposed to a DNS Server or a File Server?

Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks,

-Schmidtw
