last day i installed one new xp theam on my xp system. recently i noticed that “RUN” option deleted from my start menu.
can anybody help me in this problem ?

Mainframe quality assurance testing tools

I need to find a quick and cheap mainframe testing tool for an insurance application. The client will not spend the dollars till the concept is proven. I have looked for open source for the mainframe and found nothing. The client is running a batch system processing input are batch claims. Any help or direction would be great.

Uploading a file from a USB up to Mainframe & re-generating a PDS

I created a flat file from a PDS using IEBCOPY, downloaded that flat file to hardrive and subsequently copied to a flash drive.

Now, I’m trying to upload this file & re-create the PDS that it originally came from but am getting errors: “wrong length record”

Have tried uploading to various record lengths and record formats combinations but can’t seem to get nowhere.

Does anybody have any idea how to upload & re-generate a library?

hello,

i am calling 3 variables A,B,C by issuinng CALL A,B,C.in the called programme i have by mistake coded procedure division using C,A,B.
how will the actual and formal variables get attached,i mean what values would be passed to the main programme.

problem while accessing a Temporary dataset

hello,

i have about 25 steps in my jcl, in the 4th step i have created a temporary data set and passed it to subsequent steps(5th,6th,9th and so on).

while accesing it in the 7th step an ABEND occurs and the job terminates abnormally.
now i want my jcl to RESTART from step 7th itself.

how would i do that.

QSAM Buffer

We are writing to a QSAM output file which we will require in case of an abend. The problem we are faced with is – what happens if the job abends prior to all the records in the QSAM buffer being physically written to the QSAM output file. Are there any JCL statements that can force the QSAM buffer to be written out prior to the abend taking place. Thanks….
