how can we login into sybase using an encrypted password

Anyone can help me on this:

I have a encrypted password prepared and nowi want to login into the sybase server how can i do that…????

Windows 7 Professional – 64 bit

Application is 32 bit application.

Application uses Sybase 11 , and ODBC sources

The DLL Basdb.Dll is located in the SYSWOW64 folder but is not loaded when called.

Example of call to DLL.

Alter Procedure “DBA”.”spbossaccountchg” ( in iaction integer, in iid integer )

external name ‘Bossaccountchg@Basdb.Dll’

*****Have added but still fails **

external name ‘Bossaccountchg@Basdb.Dll’ Language C_ESQL32

The application works other than when certain program features call upon the need for the Basdb.dll file. Then it errors.

What may stop this from being successful?

Sybase bad dump

The message we are getting in error log of standby sybase server is as below
Recovering last page of log (was 2741508, now 2741507)

It occurs just few seconds before the load transaction completes and the next load transaction fails giving the error 4306 which says “There was activity on database since last load, unable to load. Must restart load sequence with the load database to continue.”
Explanation from sybooks: If user transactions modify the transaction log between transaction dump loads to a database, Error 4306 occurs and the load fails. Error 4306 would only occur if someone ran the online database command for the database, someone did work in the database, and then you tried to do a load transaction for the database. Begin again with a load database or proceed to use the database without recovering all transactions.
The same error is raising many times.
We tried to load database and then load transaction to some other server it stops at the same point
It has not affected the business s this error is shown in stand by database
Version of both the servers is:
Adaptive Server Enterprise/12.5.3/EBF 13331 ESD#7/P/NT (IX86)/OS 4.0/ase1253/1951/32-bit/OPT/Fri Mar 24 02:17:56 2006

If I move a database from Sybase to Oracle with no coding changes what is the impact on the target database with respect to CPU, Memory, IO, etc? Note that the OS will go from Solaris to LINUX also.

I have to change the db access from a sybase to a sql server 2005 in a c program (i have to keep the C code)
I have read lots of technical articles but i’m a bit confused …
with ODBC and the use of sqlcli.h i write a simple C code that access the sql server db but i think it is not the better solution; i read something about sql client .h but i haven’t found sample in C code so it ‘s not clear to me the use of this library

Can you tell me what is the best way to approach te problem and where to find some code example (connect sql server 2005 from C code, executing query ..)
