Oracle fails due to disk partition is full. Data now is corrupted.
I’ve been lucky and not hit that error. I would take a look at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14231/repair.htm

If you have Client Access why not use Excel Addins that setup Icons in Excel to bring up a wizard in Excel to download to or from the Iseries. Can be saved fo subsequent downloads. With Excel 2007 need PTF SI26879 for 5722XE1 IF ON v5r4
