Does anyone know what migration kits exist to help folks move to Office 365 from on-premises solutions. I’m wondering if Jeff Middleton from Small Business Server fame will have a kit to migrate to the cloud.

copying archive tapes from jaguar to LTO5

For a migration project I have to copy 1500 jaguar tapes to LTO5. This is a one time activity so I need a connect a robot with LTO5 drives only a limited time (2 years). What LTO5 robots do support BRMS ? I’ve been looking at Quantum Scalar i500 but Quantum say they aren’t compliant to OS/400 – BRMS. What are my alternatives ?

I don’t want to upgrade my current jaguar robot as it will be replaced within 2 years by a new model in a new datacenter where we will move to.

will be upgrading users to Windows 7. We currently have XP SP3 boxes. We
will need to migrate the data to new boxes. The boxes will come with 7 pre
installed. Should each box be turned on and the data migrated directly or
should we backup to the server and pull it in from there? Can this be
automated at all?

I have large data sets of over 5 million customers in several excel 2000 worksheets. I would like to import the data to a SQL database and preserve all data including notes fields which are huge and contain all types of characters. What is the best method of achieving this?

How do I confirm all the data moved from Source to target for different tables.
I am not able to phrase this question. Bottom line I want to make sure all the data was transferred to target database. That is my test to validate.
