Migrate, backup and restore all servers in data center
We want to migrate all servers in our datacenter to be backedup with backup exec instead of brightstore. Can we convert or import the database to bring in backup records and still be able to restore?

Copying LTO 3 Drive to tape
We back up everynight to a LTO3 drive. Can we copy the tape to send it to multiple locations and not just store it in our datacenter? We use brightstore.

How expensive are GETMAINs to a transaction in CICS? Some of our transactions can use over 10,000 of them. Would reducing the number have significant performance results?

Solid state drives (SSDs) in the enterprise: What’s your take?
Vendors are speaking more and more to the benefits of SSD’s at different levels of the organization — not just for user machines, but also at the server level and for storage arrays. What’s your take? Do you see solid state drives as an eventual standard for the enterprise environment? If no, why?
