I want to pull data from Item Descriptions utilizing only certain words within the description; i.e., Vesuvio Beige Hand Board. I want to pull all records with the words “Hand Board” in the description and I’m having trouble getting that to happen. I’ve tried “is like”, “in” and everything else I can think of, but can’t get it to pull the data.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Crystal Reports Paradox Tables – data problems

I am creating a report in Crystal XI using multiple paradox tables. If I use an idapi connection I lose data when I access the second table. If I switch to a DAO connection it runs very slow locally and will not event connect at all if I try to access the data from a data server. It must run off the data on the server in production. Any suggestion.

Crystal Reports 9 Formulas

I am using Crystal 9 reports. The formula is an IF formula but one of the columns returns as a blank as there is no data, crystal doesn’t read this as a value < 0 as it is blank, how can I get crystal to read a blank in the data field whilst writing a formula?

the formula is below but it won’t accept {resrooms.actroomrate} =”" with “” representing a blank, I have tried <0 also, still won’t accept.

Any ideas??

if {resrooms.actroomrate} > 0 then {resrooms.actroomrate} else (if {resrooms.actroomrate} =”" then {resrooms.roomrate})

Summary of time in HH:MM:SS format in Crystal Report

How to display duration from DB in float value in cross tab report as HH:MM:SS format.
Requirement as follows:
Date     Abdul Anwer     Tiger Woods     Total
08-17                         00:00:25     03:15:58
07-21                         00:00:01     03:15:58
07-17   02:36:57         00:29:32     03:15:58
07-16                         00:02:34     03:15:58

Its showing cumulative value for Total for all rows.

I have created following formula which binded summary field:

totext(abs(({UserActivityLog.Duration}) / 3600),”00″) & “:” &
totext(abs(remainder(({UserActivityLog.Duration}),3600) / 60),”00″) & “:” &
totext(abs(remainder(remainder(({UserActivityLog.Duration}),3600),60)),”00″);

Above formula is showing correct value for each user/day.

Following formula given in Display String for Total:
WhilePrintingRecords;
totext(abs((Sum ({UserActivityLog.Duration})) / 3600),”00″) & “:” &
totext(abs(remainder((Sum ({UserActivityLog.Duration})),3600) / 60),”00″) & “:” &
totext(abs(remainder(remainder((Sum ({UserActivityLog.Duration})),3600),60)),”00″);

Please help me to get correct Total value for each day.

pasting a database query into crystal

I am creating reports in Crystal 8.5 because it is required for the CRM system we use. I am having trouble pasting the SQL query that I need into the report. It will populate but it is not updating the contents of the report. Can anyone hel with this?
