Couldn’t create new Force.com project in Eclipse

I just installed Eclipse and Force.com IDE on Ubuntu Hardy to do some Salesforce.com development. But I can’t get it to create any new Force.com project. It always gives me this error message: “Selected wizard could not be started. Reason: Plug-in com.salesforce.ide.ui was unable to load class com.salesforce.ide.ui.wiza[wbr style=”padding: 0px; margin: 0px;”>rds.projec[wbr style=”padding: 0px; margin: 0px;”>t.ProjectC[wbr style=”padding: 0px; margin: 0px;”>reateWizar[wbr style=”padding: 0px; margin: 0px;”>d.”[Br style=”padding: 0px; margin: 0px;” />[Br style=”padding: 0px; margin: 0px;” />I tried both Eclipse 3.2.2 which comes through Hardy’s repository and 3.3.2 I downloaded from Eclipse sourceforge page. Same message. I followed all the instructions for Force.com IDE installation. The only thing that’s a little out of normal was Eclipse claimed the plugin packages are unsigned, but I did continue it at the prompt.

What software and services do you trust to the cloud?

What software you trust to outource to a cloud computing platform, and what software/services you would rather keep in house?

Would you let Google or another provider host your e-mail?
Is your sales team on SalesForce?

Do you have some guidelines on when you’ll look to cloud hosted software vs. when you want to have more control, or is it more based on the maturity of the offerings?

PMP transitioning from tech oriented projects to business oriented projects

I am a PMP with 10+ years experience in implementation oriented projects (rollouts, user moves, infrastructure, NetOps, etc.) for internal clients. I want to transition to business oriented projects (SAP, PeopleSoft, SOX, SW development, etc.) for external clients.

I am fully familiar with PMI methodologies but have no experience and little familiarity in any of these areas. How can I get trainingexperiencecertification in any of these areas?
