I was wondering if anyone had a solution for me to export ACT’s Client notes out to a CSV so I can load them into our new database. I have found the Notes Report but can only export to a txt file with no commas. When opening the txt as a CSV Excel gets everything completely messed up. The txt file is 1000 pages so I would rather not have to manually take out what I don’t want and add commas where they need to go. Is there a good third party program to do this or can I do it from ACT

We are a non-profit buying group with 3 persons in our office. We need a contact data base that can be shared including on the fly changes. We have a network, but no dedicated server. We currently are using Act 6.0, but that is getting old and problem riddled. Is there a web based contacts management that will do this or do we need to have a dedicated server and use the latest version of MS Office? The problem with the Office solution is the expense of a server OS and updates.

Thanks

We have a 4 person office and therefore our IT people are not located on premise. They manage our Exchange servers. We are trying to migrate form ACT to Outlook. Now that we have set up a way to share our calendar, we are having enormous difficulty retrieving contacts. We have over 7000 contacts which are now being shared from one user to the rest of us. When the primary user retrieves a name, it works in lightning speed, when any other person tries to retrieve a contact, it goes to the “retrieving Contacts through the Exchange Server”..when that takes 10 minutes or it crashes. Any advice on how we can all access the contacts and update them without each user having to copy 7000+ conta! cts into his/her own personal contacts folder. Our IT company, who we pay handsomely says we may need to buy a license and get our own exchange server..I cannot believe that no company in America has 7000 contacts that more than one user shares? It seems that something is amiss…please advise
