My previous supervisor ran a report to display CPU utilization by user profile over a certain time period. I am trying to find out how to run this query. Can someone please help with directions?

Hi All we are getting issue in as400 cpu utilisation. qzdasoinit jobs is getting killed after closing connection but after when we initiate a fresh connection it utlises cpu from where previous connection was closed. Suppose if previous connection was closed at cpu usage 10%, job would disappear from wrkactjob but when fresh connection is made thru jdbc utilisation of job would start from 10%. Please advise

Hi we have system model 550 with single partition, Machine Processores model type 8312 shows 4 of them Operational in WRKHDWRSC *PRC display. my HMC hardware managment Processor tab shows Mininum 1, Maximum 4, Current 2. I need to know, how many CPU are we usitilizing, and why HMC showing as 1 , 4 , 2?? Thanks.

Hi there,

Iam vmware conultant for a coporate organisation, i would like to know what are the disadvatanges of adding 2 CPU on 1 VM for 2 node VM cluster example, cluster has 10 VMs and i add 2 CPU to one or two VM will this make the cluster inconsistent.

I can see increase in performance of those VM.. not sure if this will affect overall cluster perfomance.

Hi,

I would like to know the following:

How IBM charges a client for using mainframe? (CPU Utilization or MIPS, rough dollar amount, prime time vs. non prime time and only based on production LPAR CPU usage or charge includes usage of developement and testing community of CPU as well?

Also we have ~750 MIPS mainframe in our client location and currently running on an average of 86% CPU utilization monthly basis. I would like to know how we can increase the MIPS or CPU utilization? Is it just by buying and adding more memory? How much does it cost to buy memory and how much each will add to MIPS and reduce CPU utilization?
