Does anyone have successful experience working on using WebDAV from an AS/400 to a Microsoft SharePoint website? Our developers would like to place content from the AS/400 on the Sharepoint website but they are having lots of issues getting this to work. I am going to look at the network traffic to see what it shows but I would also like to ask for assistance with any working code that you may have available for me to share with these developers who have no understanding of Microsoft technologies. I am seeing lots of information on using WebDAV on a local webserver on the AS/400 but don’t find many resources talking about using this service to populate content on a remote webserver.

As an alternative, they also want to use e-mail (SMTP) to populate the Sharepoint site but the network staff would rather stay away from running SMTP listeners on the Sharepoint servers. We also understand that there are versioning issues when using e-mail to upload documents to a Sharepoint library. Anyone care to shed some light on that issue or if it is really the best way to populate content.

Thanks for the help!
