SQL Server 2005 & 2008 on a Cluster in Production

Is it acceptable to run SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 side-by-side on the same MS cluster (single-instance) cluster in production? At least temporarily until all SQL 2005 DB appl vendors are approved on SQL 2008. I know there were issues and recommendations to Not do this with SQL 2000 and 2005 because they were so different. Any issues we need to know about whether it be in general or relating to the cluster?

I have 3 domino servers A,B,C . b, c are the cluster server of A. I want to set the priority of cluster servers. once A Server down then always automatically goes server C rather then server B.[o:p][/o:p]

I have two servers in different domain… One Server is using the 8.5 and one is 8.5.1

I want to add these servers in Cluster. I have cross certified the servers using the Server.id

How many tempdb’s necessary in our clustered environment?

We have a clustered environment with three nodes and five instances. Each node has eight CPU’s, and we are wondering how many tempdb’s are necessary for each instance. Do you do the calculation on the total number of CPU’s, all 5 instances failed over to one node or some other variation that I should be considering?

Running SSIS on a clustered server with SQL Server 2005

We are using SQL Server 2005, 64-bit, on a Windows 2003 clustered server with Active/Passive ‘A’ and ‘B’ nodes. Databases are on a shared LUN. I can run all my SQL Server Integration Services packages on the ‘A’ node with no problem. When we fail over to the ‘B’ node, though, packages are failing. I know that SSIS is not cluster service. My question is, how can I run SSIS packages on the second node?

Our Default SMTP Connector (Virtual Server) is not connecting to remote server

We are using Exchange Server 2003 as our Mail Server with a Front end and two clustered Back-end Servers.From past few weeks our SMTP connector is getting disconneted and the external mails are getting stuck in the queue.When we check the queue information it says that “SMTP Connetor cannot connect to the remote server”. Then once we restart the Exchange Front End then the queue gets free and the mails will get delivered.This is hapening randomly for every 2 or 3 days.
So anyone please help me solve this problem.
