Client Access

Client Access Upgrade v5r3 - v5r4 XLS and Printer file issues

We are upgrading OS to V5R4 from V5R3. We are leaving Client Access (iseries access) at present level of V5R3. Can anyone clarify expectations or issues that may be encountered. Was told XLS a little different; and may some print file issues.

Client Access CRLF

I have a 240 byte flat file on my AS/400. I am using client access to move it to a PC. This works fine except client access put a CRLF at the end of every record. Does anyone know a way to make this stop?

copyfile error when loading client access v4r5 to windows vista home

I bought a new PC recently that has Windows Vista Home Premium. When triing to load Client Access V4R5, I receive an error message "COPYFILE ERROR ENCOUNTERED". Would a more recent version of Client Access eliminate this problem? If not, what can I do to correct this?

How can null values be converted to BLANKS, when uploading an Excel spreadsheet to the AS/400 with Client Access.

how can I put the focus on my clientaccess session ?

My application is using in parallel browser session (java screens) and client access session. (5250 screens) Is there a way to 'force' the PC to put the focus on my client access session ? (automatic switch between my browser and my client access session)

I know this is pretty far-fetched, but is it possible to embed some kind of picture file as a watermark onto a display file using client access?
