How can I configure a Cisco catalyst 1900series switch to perform a LAN and VLAN functions

I got a used cisco catalyst 1900 series. I have crimp the necessary cables(straigth-through, cross-over, Roll-over ether net cables). I need a help on how to configure it to serve a LAN and VLAN functions. Please the answer is needed urgently.

I’ve been given a Cisco 3500 XL Switch. Question is what can i do with it? I was hoping to split the ports into VLAN’s for a start preparing for CCNA exams. Up to now I’ve mainly done book work. I want to get my ‘hands dirty’. Is this a manageble switch …? – i dont know. I’ve tried Consoling into it..using ‘PUTTY’ . ‘sh and en (show and enable )doesnt work’ . config so far: I’ve been given a Cisco 3500 XL config. Question is what ca i do with it? Cisco ACL deny icmp

I have three cisco core 4506 and working with 20 different vlans. i am trying to create deny icmp for vlan 67 subnet 192.168.40.0 255.255.255.224. i tried in many way but i am fail. any host can ping to this subnet and this subnet can ping to any host. but i want to deny for both.

Canobeam free space optics configuration for connection to Cisco Catalyst 3560

I am having trouble with the Gigabit interface on a Cisco Catalyst 3560 that is connected to a Canobeam FSO device. The problem is that the gig interface on the switch goes into error disable mode from time to time which takes down the link between two of our medical facilities. The error disable message is a link-flap error. I am familiar with the possible causes on the Catalyst side of the connection but would also like to know more about the Canobeam and if there are any possible settings or configuration issues. I am fairly inexperience with the FSO device and I am seeking suggestions and info for troubleshooting the Canobeam.

Cisco Catalyst vlan 2950

I have a cisco catalyst 2950 24 port and i have a Linksys 48 port 10/100 + 2-Port Gigabit Smart Switch. When i do the VLan on Cisco Catalyst Switch and daisy chain the linksys to it, would it let me configure the port on linksys (my answer is no) … just checking. Also, when i daisy chain off of Cisco Switch, i assume i have to use the port (like .35 or .31) to daisy chain cause if i want to use that entire switch (linksys) for .35.

I have a cisco catalyst 2950 24port. I would like to setup 3 different vlans. Can someone email me the commands or configuration as to how i setup for example 8 ports for 192.168.9.x, 8 ports for 192.168.31.x, and 8 ports for 192.168.35.x … thank you in advance

we have cisco 2800 series router,L3 catalyst 3750 series and watchguard (firewall) and that is connect to L2 switches. But when we connect to router flapping occurs, now we connected to firewall it works fine. please rectify this problem

I’m running CATOS version 8.04 on all my core 6500 switches. I’ve been attempting to upgrade my snmp from version2 to version3. I can’t find any documentation that gives a good understanding of how to upgrade it and explaination of the new commands.
