debugging in query analyzer
manickam, In my experience you need to be an Administrator on the machine that you run Query Analyzer on, not necessarily the database server, in order to have the debugging capability. So, check to see if you are in the Administrators group. Hope this helps, Charles

Advice on Career Change to SAP FI/CO Consultant
David: If you have SAP CRM experience and enjoy that area of the field, my suggestion would be to stay with it. I’m not “recruiting anyone” here, but I do have to speak from my experience AS a recruiter. The CRM field is HOT. Yes, there is strong demand for FI/CO, but, based on what [...]

Sage/MIP Server Printing Problems
I do not have any personnel experience with that particular program, but I have a lot of experience with other accounting programs, one of the security features in High end AP software is checks have to be printed locally, most programs do allow this to be turned off by an administrator.

End Program – explorer.exe-2
Don’t know what might have caused this to start happening, but you should make sure you have updated antivirus and spyware protection. If so, do scans in safe mode. Check your startup programs for anything non-standard. Use Startup Control Panel from www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml. Check [HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop] and change AutoEndTasks=1 to fix the symptom.

There are several Change Management packages out there, We use Aldon CMS which seems to work well for our environment. It allows us to control who can perform code promotions to each environment (dev to Integration to QA to Production) and is fairly straightforward.

Which spam list it is? How were you informed (e-mail)? Is only one address in the list, do you have others (subnet)? Their is surely a unregister procedure in the information you get. May be you could use a temprary relaying server to work aroud the problem until you fix it? Good luck!

SP miss fire
I would say your problem resides with the exec statement and the stored procedure. You also do not need to set @SWR_STATUS as its an output variable and not used prior to stored proc execution – just drop it. Try this: EXEC ( “swr_get_work_requ_stat ” + @LOG_PK + “, ” + “@SWR_STATUS out” ) If [...]

how often to reboot Microsoft servers
Generally speaking, you don’t need to reboot unless there is a problem. I normally don’t reboot any of our Win2K, Exchange, or 2003 servers unless applying a fix or security update. Otherwise, the only time a reboot is necessary is to clear up a hung app, locked memory, etc. This is indicative of other problems [...]
