JSD extension
Go to a site called filext.com and type in the extension.  It will give you a description of the file and what programs to use to open it.  Hopefully, you will have one of these programs and it is useable on an iMac.

Is this really the end for the PC?
Nope. I can say no without actually thinking hard about it. lol. The reason is because PCs have so many more features than a tablet right now. Sure the tablet market is growing exceedingly fast but it cant replace PC at the moment. One reason is because tablets doesn’t offer as much as a PC [...]

They missed IBM vs IBM When IBM was concerned the the goverment was going to force them to split the company, they formed the National Marketing Division (NMD) and the General Systems Division (GSD). Big Iron (S/360 S/370 etc) vs small systems (S/S, S32, S34, etc) So when they went into a company to sell a computer, therew [...]

Open IT Forum: What do you think of the iCloud?
I believe it will succeed, provided that it functions properly. My sister has a full range of Apple products and is greatly anticipating iCloud to synch all of her devices. Unfortunately, reviews to date have not been promising: Wired Cloudline

How to determine if a client-side Internet connection is using VPN?
You may have to descend to packet examination. View packet contents to determine whether they are encrypted or not. While not all VPNs use encryption, it is a good indicator that a VPN is being used if packets are encrypted. But this is a four year old question. What answer did you settle upon?

Open IT Forum: What cloud concern do you need addressed?
OK I see two issues: 1. Larger organisations being able to allow internally-hosted and supported applications and webs. This does require in-house expertise or else contracted support and development from external organisations. However it may be preferable to host the data in-house (even if at a data centre) and retain maximum control. This needs to [...]
