SQL embedded in RPGLE
You wll want to create SQL indexes on each file based on the where field(s) I believe that you can run these interactively in Navigator and capture the necessary indexes. With the correct indexes your SQL commands will find the record to update very much like a chain would. Phil

Suppress duplicate subreport data
If I’m following the question correctly… I do not believe that you can share values between subreports. You could set up shared variables in the main report, which has the values from each of the subreports, and then test those two variables against each other in the main report.

As with any law, it should start with a basic level and then permit restrictions above the level specified. So, the law could say 1024-bit encryption or better. Kind of like the states can make more restrictive laws than the federal gov’t but the states must meet minimum criteria.
