Does anyone know of a good place to find people with C#.net experience besides the big job boards? We have several positions in the Financial/Trading industry in Chicago but we are having a hard time finding enough people with this skill set. Any Blogs, User Groups or Niche Sites you can recommend? Please forward on if you know any C# Gurus or know any niche websites. We are offering BULLS TICKETS (or cash) for referrals!

We want to “post” various documents on-line so that we can give members of our outside consulting group access to view, and even possibly download them.
Is it possible without opening them up to the public-at-large?

In answering, keep in mind the following:

1. We prefer not to purchase any additional software/hardware.
2. We are running Win2K3 servers, and exchange 2k3 server.
3. We have a website, and a T-1 connection.
4. Viewing is the MOST important capability. Downloading would be nice, but not necessary.
5. We don’t want the public to see them.

Financial Calculations in RPG

Does anyone have sample code of the following calculations (Excel Equivalent in brackets):
1. Net Present Value (NPV)
2. Payment (PMT)
3. Principal Payment (PPMT)

Any form of RPG to run on an iSeries would be great.

Are FIPS and other NIST InfoSec standards and criteria accepted commercially?

I know that information security decision makers and policy makers within the Federal government rely heavily on standards such as FIPS certification from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). How much weight is there placed on a product or service that has met certification requirements from NIST in non-government verticals? For example, would a bank, healthcare company, or manufacturing company choose a FIPS-certified VPN or Firewall over a comparable VPN or firewall product that has not been certified?

PMP transitioning from tech oriented projects to business oriented projects

I am a PMP with 10+ years experience in implementation oriented projects (rollouts, user moves, infrastructure, NetOps, etc.) for internal clients. I want to transition to business oriented projects (SAP, PeopleSoft, SOX, SW development, etc.) for external clients.

I am fully familiar with PMI methodologies but have no experience and little familiarity in any of these areas. How can I get trainingexperiencecertification in any of these areas?

Data Conversion on IBM AS/400

Hi,
We’re converting some old master files in to new format files. These master files have around 58 million records each. We wrote COBOL programs to convert the format and write to the new files. In order to speed up the process we are splitting the each master file into 20 parts(i.e., 20 files and spreading the records in to fileslike 1 to 20000 to FILE1, 20001 to 40000 to FILE2, etc.) and running the same program to populate the records in the new format in the NEWFILE, in multiple jobs, after the necessary overrides. It is taking about 5 hours to complete all these jobs, even after using 85% of the CPU.
I would like to further speed up the process. Can someone help/guide me how I can improve the performance? What is the best approach for dealing with such conversions? We need to convert 4 such files. Any help is appreciated.

Datawarehouse building – datamart specification: how would you engage a scattered userbase?

We are currently building a datawarehouse and will need to engage the customers in order to successfully specify the datamarts, a search functionality, etc. All of the technicalities are scoped and being put in place. The question hence directs itself to successfully engaging the customer base, without whose input this could never be successful. Some of the customers were easy to contact, but some 500 customers are scattered around the globe in different user pockets. We have been supplying data to these customers one way or the other in the past. How would you suggest we tackle engaging these customer pockets?
