I am experienced with other EDI mapping technologies and ETL mapping tools. However, I have not worked with XI before and I would like to know why it seems to take significantly longer than expected to create an EDI map (inbound or outbound) using XI and seeburger.

Within a required segment you may have required and situational/optional elements. My question is, do all values within a required element must be implemented/used or is it possible to use some (but not all) values within that required element?
