Problem with Initial BES/Notes Address Book Sync

Just setup Notes address book to sync with BES. After synchronizing contacts I noticed that many entries in my address book were incorrect and showed old data (e.g., incorrect emails, phone numbers, etc.). There were also some entries that showed up that had previously been deleted. The names.nsf on my desktop was correct when I did the initial sync. The only thing I could think of was that I had uploaded a copy of my contacts to my WebMail account a few years ago which would have reflected these old entries – could that have caused the problem?

Blackberry synchonization for work contacts

I have a BES and many users on it. All of there personal e-mail contacts and the ones they add in manually come up whilst trying to create a e-mail. But because the user’s would like the whole address book of the company on their Blackberry I cant seem to sync all the companys address book. Can someone give me a step by step guide to let me know if you can do it. Thanks.

Seemingly excessive Reads affecting task synch with BlackBerry BPS (BES)?

User states that can synch mail and Calendar from Notes 7 to BlackBerry BPS, but unable to synch Tasks.
While the focus is on BPS, I need to understand what’s happening within the User Details button of the Mail Database, Properties, i Tab — User Details.
In a 24 hour period, the user the following stats:

-A recurring read on one server of 99 reads

-A recurring read on another server (clustered) with 12 reads

-In 1 day, Uses = 912, Reads = 17026, Writes = 401

Maybe this has something to do with BPS, maybe it doesn’t.
Can someone help me out with what’s happening and which area I should dig into. I haven’t done a clear replication history yet, as I wanted to post to the boards first.

How to remove the two unnecessary Desktop in Blackberry Phonebook Option?

We are currently migrating our BB users from other BES to our own BES.. Upon doing the migration, we used to back-up their blackberry then will perform the security wipe before we restore the files then re-activate to our new BES. After the completing the activation, the user complaint regarding his phonebook because of the duplicate entries.. We checked the cause and found out that the Desktop in phonebook options got doubled. We tried to delete it but we got no luck. Please help

Outlook calendar appointments cancelling by themselves

I have an Exchange 2003 Server and a Blackberry Enterprise Server v4.1.2 with 20 users. One of the Blackberry user’s calendar appts. are canceling on their own. Anyone seen this issue before?

Appointments BlackBerry Server

We put blackberry on the blackberry server so it will synch to the computer. Some appointments were cancelled off the calendar last week and when blackberry was hooked up, the appointments appear back on the calendar. What do I do to get the ones that were changed and/or cancelled back off the calendar?

Why I cannot receive to my Blackberry moved from .pst to Exchange mailbox messages

I need to move messages from one mailbox to another. This another mailbox is connected with BES 4.1.6 MR4. After messages moved, they do not reconcile with Blackberry smartphone.
I do not know – is this right thing or not? I guess not, ’cause those imported messages must be new for BES, and BES must reconcile them with smartphone. But BES do not make this.

Domino Server Troubleshoot Email Sent Multiple Times

We are running domino 8.0 on a Linux Server. We are using notes 8.02 on the clients. Some emails are being sent out more than once. It is not on all emails or all users but some emails are being sent once, then a second time and occasionally a third time. Sometimes they have an attachment and sometimes they don’t. There is sometimes a delay of a few minutes between messages but most often the delay is around 10 seconds. We used the message tracker and found that the original message and the repeat messages have the same unique message ID. They can be sent to internal addresses or external addresses. We are running a BES so we thought there might be a link there but not all users with the issue get email via a Blackberry. We have a clustered Domino server environment and one of the cluster members is off line right now but we don’t think that is the issue. We have not yet found a common thread.

Where can we look to find more information about why the messages are being repeated.

meeting request on Blackberry calendar not showing up if delegtei accepts that

We are experiencing Meeting request issue on the blackberry device. We use BES 4.0 and Outlook 2003. User’s calendar is manage by her assistant and when assistant accepts the meeting request on user’s behalf it doesnt reflect on User’s blackberry. Any one has clue on this?
