We work mostly with pictures and video, some users have a backup up to 100 GB, not all of them use this much but we are running out of space and just got upgraded so our ideas are running out and next investment will be evaluated with magnifying glass...twice. So we need a way to estimate or...

Windows SBS 2008 Windows Server Backup I have a server whose backup has been failing, purportedly for a lack of space on the drive. • Are LTO tapes backwards compatible. Why would I not be able to read old tapes?

We have 6 year old LTO tapes. We are trying to restore data from them using a LTO4 drive. We can not read the tapes at all. Not even the label. Can this be fixed? Any ideas? The drives are backwards compatible right?

  • NDMP restores are SOMETIMES corrupt

Backup of Celera filesystem containing files compressed with "compress" using CommVault Galaxy is "OK". Selective restores from these backups can be problematic. Full restore works A-OK but just a FEW files MAY or MAY NOT work. Corrupt files are identical when restored.
