Listing profiles per jobq

Hello,

I would need to have a list of profiles with the same jobq, this is in order to balance the profiles with the same jobq.

Is there any way to do that fast?

s36 files and environment is lost

i have program that work under s36 environmetn , … when user try to login it says user must login under s36 environment
when i try anyl command related to s36 such as strs36 or strs36prc or what ever it reply ” file not found (file is not a part of qssp lib )
when i use any command in iseries menu that related to s36 it give me the same error message

Tapelibrary is always Disabled

and would this utilize a lot of disk space?

How can one check the sizes of journal receivers if they were deleted and the system IPL’ed and joblogs in QEZJOBLOG are also deleted?

CHGPF doesn’t change the based on LFs

I used the CHGPF command to change the record layout of a Physical File but the based on Logical Files were NOT changed – the Format Level Identifier still had the old value.

HDDs protected or unprotected?

Hello,

After upgrading an existing 8203-E4A machine (i5/OS, V5R4M5) with 2×139 HDDs feature code #3677, i see in the “Work with disk units-> Display Disk Configuration Protection” that the model of disk units added are 090.

The array is RAID5 and have 6 HDDs. 3 HDDs are 099, 2 HDDs are 090 and 1 is hotspare.

Does it mean that this 2 HDDs added to the ASP1, doesn’t contain parity bits?
Are they protected? (i mean if one of them have problems will the array protected again?)

Info: When i see from strsst “Work with Disk Units” in “Display Device Parity Status” i see them active, also in “Display Disk Hardware Status” i see them RAID-5/Active.
If you need more details, please let me know.

QFAX software on a v5r4 system – Creating cover page

Does anyone know how within the IBM QFAX Software that the cover page is created. The user guide implies that its done with either an overlay or the printer file. In either case we can not locate it and its needs to be changed.

Is anyone user Mantis/400 bug tracker / help desk software?

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who is using Mantis/400 on an IBM i running i5/OS 6.1.

There is a good article on the topic but is is from 2007. We sure would like to hear from someone who has had recent experience with Mantis.

Command documentation problem . GENCMDDOC

I used the GENCMDDOC command with the INSLNXSVR and got this error (command works well with other commands):
