I FORGOT QSECOFR PASSWORD in a new system and donot have any other ID with *SECADM and *ALLOBJ authority. What should I do. but I have *PGM authority in one ID.

Plz tell me what authorities one should have to get enrolled in the system distribution directory and how to grant them? When i was trying to copy a as/400 file to a PC location the error showed was “User not enrolled in system distribution directory.”. thanks

user A have auhtority on X Library and X library has a lot of query. But I want user A access only one query. how can I restrict him.

I need to be able to limit 1 user to only be able to logon to one device at one workstation. If I change the limit device sessions to Yess will that do it. Or will I need to limit capabilities as well

with *AUTL’s in active use, what is determining that a particular user profile only has access to a particular WS device?

specifically, we have a SECOFR level user profile who can only access a single WS. She needs to be able to sign on with that profile from ‘any’ screen.

I seem to dimly remember that there used to be a value on the user profile which determined the sessions. values are set thus:
LMTCPB(*NO)
LMTDEVSSN(*NO)

signon is greeted with ‘not authorised to device’ so I’m suspecting that a specific authority needs to be granted to ?? something?? and it isn’t really anything to do with the USRPRF.
