We all know that we could not get a hsrty log for a user who has signed off? but can we do job trace of that user using their login information to get the hsty ?

Our 3rd party vendor is requesting the ff :

[em] Please provide at least one month information about performance data in the AS400. You may request IBM to setup and activate the Performance Tool for AS/400. Data collection need to be in the interval of 5 minutes.[/em]

This is really new to me. What is this Performance Tool for AS/400. How do i check if this is installed in my machine. Can i activate this if i have the authority as what is mentioned above, or do i have to call IBM for activation. Hope to be clarified on this one. Thanks.

How to avoid the system message displaying on display screen.

Hi we have system model 550 with single partition, Machine Processores model type 8312 shows 4 of them Operational in WRKHDWRSC *PRC display. my HMC hardware managment Processor tab shows Mininum 1, Maximum 4, Current 2. I need to know, how many CPU are we usitilizing, and why HMC showing as 1 , 4 , 2?? Thanks.

Hi

I just bought an AS/400 520. I started and I can see my machine is sitting around this SRC c1001020 which is at the very beginning. Can someone help me. The console is connected at port 0. No light is on on the front of AS/400. I want my machine to start.

AS/400 performance issue

i have a project which was compiled and running on v5.4. Now i try to run the same in v6.1 then the performance issue is coming that the product is running very slowly. I have recompiled entire project in v6.1 and then tried again, now the performance improoved bit, but not like v5.1. Why the same project is behaving like this. I tried with a test program like above, there is a significant difference in performance betwen v5.4 and v6.1. What should i do to achieve the same performance in v6.1 like in v5.4.

AS/400 backup running twice as long

This week both the SAVCHG and the full sys backup ran twice as long. There were no locked objects or other jobs running and no significant increase is disk capacity used. Any ideas what might cause this or how to even determine why? I did review the log and found no errors. thanks
