Can anybody tell me how to remove job from AS400?

AS/400 job taking more time than the other relevant jobs

Here is my Scenario…

Every day my a robot job will submit 7 batch jobs at single point of time and all jobs do the same no of transaction process.All jobs has same run priority as well. But the problem is all jobs completing at the same time except one job which is running slower than the other jobs.As per my analysis Job is using less CPU% than the other jobs.

I’m trying to figure out why this particular job alone running slowly and why can’t it is utilizing much CPU%.

Can any body provide inputs to resolve this issue.?

How to know when EOD jobs are done so I can schedule my AS/400 job?

My business requirement is that i need to schedule my job,when all the EOD jobs are completed.

how can i know that eod jobhs are completed are not?

can anyone help me out in writing the cl program for this requirement.

Limit/restrict CPU% for a job in AS400

Hi,

I have a job where I want to restrict the maximum CPU% usage.

I tried various ways like setting a low run priority and a low-timeslice. Still they are not meeting my requirement. With these 2 parameters, when the system is free, it is allocating the full CPU% to my job alone which I don’t want.

Briefly my requirement is, I have to run the job with say a maximum of 2% CPU. It can take any number of days to complete, but the CPU% must be achieved.

Can anybody guide me please.

Setting run priority on prestart jobs

We have several applications that query the iSeries through ODBC, so they all use the prestart job QZDAINIT. Is there a way to change the run priority on these jobs so that one application’s queries can have a higher priority than another application’s queries? Since each application’s queries always use the same user ID, can we set the run priority for a user ID in a prestart job?
