A FUNCTION key F10 set up at the file level for a display file that looks like this ALTPAGEDWN(CF10). That functon is being used on several screens in the dispaly file for the roll down use. Hovever, I need to use the F10 key on another screen that does not need to use it for the rolldown. I put the code in the program and when F10 is pressed on the screen, the program does not recognize the f10 key selection. I am thinking the process will not let you use the F10 key for any other purpose ecxept to roll down.

iSeries client access Copy to clipboard fails

Hi,

I have an intermittent problem with copy and past from client access for system i.

I can be happily using copy and paste from client access to word, or excell , then for some reason it just quits, and all I get is a beep.

To reinstate, I have to exit all the way out and kill the session, and kill the pcsws.exe process in task manager .

Very frustrating ! If it was something I’m doing, then I would avoid doing it, but Ihaven’t spotted the pattern yet.

Any clues ?

Explore function in AS400 display files

Is anyone aware if in AS400 display files we can have functionality like windows explore function. For example in windows when I press windows key + E it will explore my directory and then i can go further in these directories. So is this type of functinality is possible in AS400 display files also. Please let me know if any other detail is also required.

Citrix Client Function Key Issues.

Hi, I am acessing AS400 through Cirtix client. I am facing
function
key issues. For me some of the function keys are working well, but few

are not working. Ex: F13, F15, and F24. If I hit F15, it asks me to
disconnect
the session. For F13, its showing me the windows Start
menu.

I have checked the keyboard mapping. It is in US
standard
and mapped correctly. Ex: F13 –>
Pf13. And the key
map file they reffered is looks like “mi 101….”

For time
being I mapped with some other key for my requirement.
But that not
good.

Please give me a solution to rectify this.

run a ‘.bat file’ with an AS400 function key

I am trying to run a windows ‘.bat file’ using an as400 function key. I have no knowledge of how to make the AS400 asign the fuction key ie F2 to the run the ‘.bat file’. Anyone have an idea. I have searched IBM’s database and also quizzed my service providers and have received blank stares. Help would me much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I have 1 inquiry functions where all the functions keys (F1 to F24) were already used up. Now, I have an enhancement request to add new inquiry to this existing function. What do I need to do? I was thinking of building a pulldown menu in this inquiry function. Is this the correct approach? And what is the advantage of using a pulldown menu in AS400 Menu. Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks.
