I need to create an sql view & do FTP of this view.

CREATE VIEW palib/reshgjw AS SELECT WJWID as WJWID,char(WPEROD) as WPEROD,char(WCMPNY) as WCMPNY from libname/filename.

In my text file i need a tab b/w each fields. But in the text i got there are no field seperators b/w field 1 & field 2.

Is there any solution for this?

Can i provide a tab betwen two fields whicle selecting fields from a file to create an SQL view?

I tried || and +. But is throwed me token not valid.

Dear Friend, I see the VIEWS on AS/400 as logical file,but I don’t know wit which SQL it is created. How can I see the SQL Sentence of this VIEW ?

Refresh a SQL View in ILE

I have created a view and am using in an ILE module. I have updated one of the files that the view is built with. How do I refresh the View to see this record the next time I run the SQL view? Is there a CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW in RPGILE? Thank you.

SQL Developer Views and Programs

I created a view to simplify the cursor within the package body. The SQL statement being used works as expected in SQL Developer but the program returns zero records. The program worked correctly before replacing one of the tables with this view. Not sure why all of a sudden the sql statement isn’t returning anything. Do I have to grant rights to the view? Is there something I can do inside of the body to help me out? Thanks for any help in this matter…

We have 2 AS400 machines connected with a 1g pipe. I need to create a SQL view on one of the machines using data that is in DDS physical files on the other machine. How can I accomplish this?
