Just curious if anyone has a fav printer in the AS-400 world. The HP4200 / 4250 has worked well for us and unfortunately can no longer buy new. Suggestions?

I’ve made a “work-around” but, after a power off, none of the printers will release “held” files. I’v deleted a printer and reinstalled. IPL’d, varied on and off, I had to force the “vary on” as I could not lock onto the printer. I’m fairly sure it has something to do with the writer, but [...]

I have a HP printer setup as a network printer in the AS400 and it will not stop printing the first page of anyting sent to it. Literally there is no end to the printing. All other printers o.k. What is the problem?

Delete AS/400 printer?
I created a printer (not a remote outq) but need to delete it. No jobs are in the outq. Deleted the writer. Varied OFF the printer. Can’t delete the outq or the printer itself. I followed my hand-me-down list of creation steps and they worked, but I have no instructions for deleting it.
