How to restrict file size created using RUNQRY ?

e.g. Created the query using WRKQRY to join 2 transaction file and output type selected is databasefile. We don’t have the exact primary key to relate 2 files, hence we are not sure about the no. of transaction expected from this query. Can we restrict the output file size, as these file are created by system.

Hi , i have a text file in IFS which have some data. Now after reading i want to replace all occurance of xyz with abc and update the ifs file .Everything is working fine except updation . The problem is with pointer setting , everytime the data is appended in file rather than replacing ..I am using _C_IFS_fopen,_C_IFS_fgets,_C_IFS_fputs apis.

Please suugest how can i set the pointer to write date to exact position replacing the old one …

Given a view name, how will i find its physical file name…

e.g. my view name is EMP_TMP_TPL_HDR

Why sometimes we need to put “K” for file specification?eg:
FSSDATA IF E K DISK
