Using Number range on an AS/400 file with Char type field index
Hi, I have scenario to filter records for screen presentation based on number range provided on screen.In database the numbers are stored as char with no padding.How can I use this character index to get the results without having to read entire file?

How would we know which index is been used during Native IO reads or SQL query execution happens on that file during program is being run?

Is it possible to get an alert when database page faults exceeds a certain amount.
Is it possible to get an alert when database page faults exceeds a certain amount. Iam referring to the page faults which appear when we give the WRKSYSSTS command. Or write a pgm which could monitor the page faults and sent an alert.
