File transfer
I would like to get the AS400 data into text file with no spaces between the fileds. Is there any way to do that?

Data Transfer Field Description Names
On the data transfer box you can choose the data options button which you can then go to details button. In choosing that button you get to the Receive Requested Details box. My questions is how do I change the Field Description name to what I need it to be when the file is downloaded.

i have 2 different datatransfer files to get data from an AS/400 to excel. one is version 1.2 and the other has version 2.0 in the description what is the difference, cause i now got an other version of client access installed and the 1.2 version is not working anymore

Data Transfer from Iseries
Transfering a file using Data Transfer from Iseries – the output device is Hyper Text Language “HTML”.  When I try to import the data into Access, I can’t locate the file.  It is not coming over as an HTML – it comes over as a “file”.  Am I missing a configuration setting or something?
