Lotus Notes 8 archive policy deleted my archive folder

I created an archiving policy to move my notes to the archive at the end of one day. Then I created a folder in my Inbox database, the problem I did not see comming is that the folder name was the same as another folder I had in the archive database;after the archiving happened, I had lost all of my notes in that folder and I only had the notes I sent to the folder in my inbox database. Is there a way to recover the content of my original folder in the archive database? or was it [em]overwritten[/em]?? ( If there is a way to recover my original folder in the archive please let me know!!

I am setting up an archiving policy. I want to control the server and the folder to which an associate archives but want to allow them to rename the archive file. Is there a way to do this? I have one site with a dedicated Domino server for this task; at other sites, the archiving will be stored on the same server as the mail file.
