I am aware that you are allocated one if the dhcp is down or not acessable but cant get my head round weather or not an apipa address will only give you access to the network lan you may be on or weather it will give you some access to the internet. I keep reading communication with other apipa addresses but other than ones in your group how could you possibly know who else would be using one
