Hello, im an auditor for global copany risks. One of the things that we look for is sepperation of functions. shortly said, you don’t want the same person creating your bill’s and be able to pay them (because he presents a serious security risk for commiting fraud.)

Now what to do with an Domain Administrator (IT department), he has access to all systems because of his job. Is theire some way to eliminate that risk?

DHCP Permission issues in my domain

I have a number of dhcp servers installed on DCs in various offices. I need
to assign a local admin in one of the remote offices permission to manage
the dhcp server in his site not all dhcp servers. If I add admin to the
default local dhcp administrator group in ADUC I believe he will have access
to all dhcp servers in the domain. I need to assign permissions to just one
dhcp server…

i loked my self by the giving deny permissions in regedit for my administrator how do i recover, i unable to run any programm and showing error like ” this file is does not have a programm associated with it for performing thsi action, create an association in the folder Optins control pannel” please help me……..

How best to control Junior Admins

Hi all,

Need to give new member of team Admin rights, but I’d like to know how you all manage your junior admins? I’d like to give restricted rights and have an audit trail.

Environments in Use;
- Window server 2003 and Active Directory
- Vmware ESX + vcentre
- Lotus Domino + Notes

I guess most of it comes down to AD!

hi,
i have a user with account granted with admiistrators rights. It was joined to domain.

when i try to uninstall a printer software, it prompt me i dun have administrator rights.

Is there a workaround ?
