Activesync And Server 2000

I'm having trouble with setting up my AT&T Tilt with Server 2000. I have Activesync 4.5 and it will not conect to the server. I've been told there is no upgrade for Server 2000 but there has to be a way short of upgrading to 2003. I just need to get my Email from the Exchange. Please help.

I have an iPAQ 6965 that won’t mobile activesync.

My iPAQ when in the cradle syncs fine but when mobile it reaches the exchange server then I'm asked to correct my password. I reenter my p/w to be rejected again with the same request, correct exchange server password.I have been through my settings on both exchange AD & device but no joy, still...
